#Winterishere: UWC President met with Ukrainian Defenders

During the visit of the delegation of the Ukrainian World Congress to Ukraine, UWC President Paul Grod met with the commander of Ukraine’s Territorial Defense Forces, Maj. Gen. Ihor Tantrsyura, and defenders who serve in the territorial defense and handed them equipment and winter items purchased using donations to UWC’s #UniteWithUkraine campaign.

In particular, according to the UWC president, 21,000 pairs of winter boots and 2,000 wood stoves have been delivered to Ukraine and will be immediately sent to the frontlines to “those brave defenders in bunkers today that are trying to stay warm.”

Other equipment, such as first aid kits, drones, and communication devices, were also delivered.

During the meetings, Paul Grod thanked the brave Ukrainians and asked about their urgent needs in 2023.

The territorial defense commander awarded the UWC president a Certificate of Honor.

Paul Grod also recorded a video appeal to all Ukrainians in the world and friends of Ukraine.

“I would ask all of you to think about this winter, especially over the holiday and Christmas season, to be very generous and help these brave women and men, soldiers who have volunteered, sacrificing their lives,” said the UWC president, calling for donations to the #WinterIsHere campaign conducted within the UWC’s #UniteWithUkraine framework.
