An Intimate Evening in Support of Ukraine featuring Winnipeg’s own Chantal Kreviazuk raises over US$77,000 (CA$100,000)

Canadian singer-songwriter Chantal Kreviazuk co-chaired a fundraiser in support of the Ukrainian World Foundation (UWF), with Jamie Brown, CEO and Executive Producer of Frantic Films at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights (CMHR) in Winnipeg on June 29th. The event space was sponsored by the CMHR, an appropriate and beautiful backdrop for the important conversations that were had throughout the evening.

The evening was hosted by Drew and Karly from Kiss 102.3, the radio sponsor for the event.

The evening would not have been possible without the generosity of the many sponsors. In addition to the CMHR and Kiss 102.3, these included: Dimensions Insurance, De Luca Fine Wines. Audio Works Production Services, St. John's Music and Yamaha.

Additional thanks to the many volunteers and individuals that contributed to the event, with special recognition to Tyler Davis and Alexandra Shkandrij for their time and devotion to the cause.

Though the generous support of various individuals, this event raised over US$77,000 (CA$100,000).

Thank you to the following individuals for their generous contributions to Unite with Ukraine:

  • Rob Penner of Bison Transport
  • Greg Bieber of Richardson Wealth
  • Barb Gamey from Payworks
  • Ash Modha & Tony Lavilla from Mondetta

Proceeds from the event went towards the Ukrainian World Foundation’s (UWF) Unite with Ukraine Campaign. This campaign provides emergency medical and humanitarian support to the brave civilian volunteers in Ukraine as they fight for freedom.
