Dear Ukrainians and friends of Ukraine!

On behalf of the World Congress of Ukrainians, I congratulate you on the 31st Day of Restoration of Independence of Ukraine. Cut by enemy hail and rockets, watered with the blood of heroes and tears of mothers, the Ukrainian land is holy. For the eighth year already, our people have been paying the highest price for independence from their hostile neighbor, a murderous and terrorist state. We see with our own eyes what terrible evil our great-grandfathers fought against, what our ancestors opposed, and from whom our parents protected our Ukrainian world.

Celebrating the 31st year of Independence, we thank everyone who supports the Ukrainian state in the world arenas – advocacy, economic, financial and provides military and humanitarian support.

The World Congress of Ukrainians never gets tired of repeating: more weapons and even more sanctions! The terrorist state must bear full responsibility for its crimes. Ukraine is part of the European family and a reliable and experienced partner for NATO countries.

Today we bow our heads to all the brave defenders who died for Ukraine. We call on everyone who loves Ukraine to stand up in the fight for it and for the Ukrainian people! Don’t give up and don’t relax! Increase your efforts and make a significant contribution every day for Ukraine until we win!

We must complete the task of many generations – to liberate the enslaved Ukrainian lands and to forever establish Ukraine as a powerful independent Ukrainian European state!

On The 31st Anniversary Of Ukraine's Independence

The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC), in partnership with UNITED24, wants to help Ukraine create a "Drone Army", much needed in the sixth month of full-scale war.

Our goal is to present Ukraine with an "Army of Drones" – real support from Ukrainians worldwide. To participate, you need to make a donation to UWC's UniteWithUkraine campaign. The campaign started on August 14 and lasts until August 31.

With the collected funds, UWC will purchase drones selected by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. We will mark each drone for the specific contributing community or organization.

In July 2022, the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) and the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to support the UNITED24 fundraising platform. The first joint project is the "Army of Drones". This program includes drone procurement, delivery, maintenance and replacement, as well as pilot training.

The project will raise funds to purchase 200 professional unmanned drone systems for aerial reconnaissance. They are vital equipment that Ukraine's defenders need in order to fight off the Russian invasion.

The Drone Army will allow the defenders of Ukraine to constantly monitor an enormous 2 470 km frontline and support an effective response to enemy attacks.

About UNITED 24

UNITED24 was launched by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy as the main venue for collecting charitable donations in support of Ukraine. Funds will be transferred to the official accounts of the National Bank of Ukraine and allocated by assigned ministries to cover the most pressing needs.
