Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, met with a delegation of Ukrainian Canadians, including Andrew Poticnyj, director of the Ukrainian World Congress' "Unite with Ukraine" initiative, and Christian Borys and Yulia Tymoshenko, founder and representative of the "Saint Javelin" brand.
Since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion, these charitable projects have made a significant impact on the Ukrainian Security and Defense Forces, particularly Military Intelligence. The "Unite with Ukraine" initiative has raised a staggering $57 million from donors in over 70 countries, while "Saint Javelin" has contributed over $2 million. These funds have been instrumental in providing essential equipment such as tactical medical supplies, advanced protective gear, unmanned aerial systems, and armored vehicles for Ukrainian forces.
The meeting between Kyrylo Budanov and the representatives of the Ukrainian World Congress and "Saint Javelin" was a significant event, underscoring the crucial role of international support in Ukraine's defense efforts.
General Budanov expressed his appreciation for the unwavering support from these projects, acknowledging their role in both aiding military efforts and informing the global community about the ongoing situation in Ukraine and the war crimes perpetrated by Russia.
During the meeting, both parties exchanged symbolic gifts and committed to further enhancing their collaboration to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities against Russian aggression.
