Medical supplies arrive in Ukraine - Unite With Ukraine

Shipments of medical equipment purchased with donations to #UniteWithUkraine are arriving in Ukraine.

The medical packs are headed to a staging area near Lviv for use by the Lviv Volunteer Medical Battalion and other medic support teams that, for security reasons, will remain anonymous.

The order was made possible by donations to #UniteWithUkraine, as well as donations to – and the partnership of – Canadian charity, Help Us Help.

“Partnering with Help Us Help was instrumental in getting urgently needed medical aid to Ukraine’s heroic volunteer medics so they can continue saving the lives of Ukrainians,” said Paul Grod, President of Ukrainian World Congress. “Together, we were able to procure the items through reliable distribution channels in Europe and send them directly to our contacts in Ukraine. We would like to thank Help Us Help, as well as all our supporters around the world, for making this shipment of medical equipment possible.”

Following Russia’s illegal invasion of Ukraine in late February, the Ukrainian World Congress launched the #UniteWithUkraine campaign, an effort to build the world’s largest crowd-funding campaign to support the civilians-turned-defenders of Ukraine.

Proudly, this marks the arrival of our first bulk shipment of tactical Individual First-Aid Kits (IFAK) and associated medical supplies,” Dr. Marie Bountrogianni, Chair of Help Us Help. “We are grateful to our friends at #UniteWithUkraine for their assistance in delivering these critical life-saving supplies.”

In addition to medical supplies, donations are being used to supply freedom fighters on the frontlines with fuel, communications equipment and personal protection gear like bullet proof vests, helmets, and combat boots.
