Toronto’s Alex Slywynskyj, a Ukrainian patriot and stained-glass hobbyist, has been quietly yet meticulously supporting the work of the Ukrainian World Congress Unite with Ukraine initiative since the first days of the Russian Federation's full-scale invasion. Ukraine is fighting this war with “droplets” of military aid that amasses into an ocean of equipment and much-needed supplies. Whether from international partners, NATO countries, charitable organizations, or amazing volunteers like Alex and his incredible family, each droplet is critical in supporting Ukrainian defenders as they fight for their country's independence and their right to exist.
Alex’s droplets have resulted in regular donations to the UWC that have amounted to over $40,000 or 1.4 million Ukrainian Hryvnias! With these droplets, “Unite with Ukraine” was able to procure and deliver over 1600 CAT 7th Generation Tourniquets to the men and women of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
