Ukrainian World Congress Delivers 15 Excavators to Territorial Defense Forces of Ukraine

The Ukrainian World Congress as part of its “Unite with Ukraine” initiative has successfully procured and delivered 15 JCB 3CX Excavators to the Department of Support Forces of the Command of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The JCB 3CX excavators with their high-powered 55kW diesel engines will be used for construction projects such as the building of new defensive positions for Ukrainian defenders. This powerful machine is designed to handle tough jobs such as digging trenches, moving earth and other heavy materials, or leveling the ground. “The JCB 3CX Backhoe Loaders were sourced, purchased, and transported to Ukraine in a very timely manner. We started this project less than twenty days ago, and today we are witness to the operative efficiency of our team,” said Andrew Potichnyj, director of the “Unite with Ukraine” initiative at the Ukrainian World Congress. “We are proud to be able to hand over this essential equipment to the TDF. As the war rages into its second year, the importance of preparedness has become increasingly evident. Providing our defense forces the ability to effectively dig trenches and prepare hundreds of kilometers of defensive lines is vitally important to future successes on the battlefield. The excavators will be distributed amongst five brigades and used to solidify Ukrainian defensive positions in and around the conflict zones and border areas,” continued Potichnyj.

Their unwavering partnership has been paramount in the successes of our forces on the battlefield. The “Unite with Ukraine” initiative at the UWC has delivered hundreds of millions of hryvnia worth of armored vehicles, tactical medicine, drones, winter gear and other vital equipment to our forces. The delivery of 15 excavators this week is just another example of the level of commitment and true collaboration that we experience with our partners at UWC. We are incredibly grateful to the Ukrainian World Congress, the Ukrainian diaspora, and friends of Ukraine from around the world for their constant support and cooperation in the time of our greatest need. Working together we will continue to achieve unbelievable results,” stated Commander of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, major general Ihor Tantsyura.

Through our “Unite with Ukraine” initiative we have supported and will continue to support the TDF to the best of our capabilities while deploying the maximum resources available to us. With the mission to provide excavators for digging defensive positions successfully completed, our team has very quickly transitioned to our next joint project in cooperation with General Tantsyura and his staff,” said Paul Grod, President of the Ukrainian World Congress. The Ukrainian World Congress, as part of its #UniteWithUkraine initiative has provided more than $40 million in aid to the Territorial Defense Forces, the Armed Forces and other Ukrainian security structures, funded from donations in over 70 countries.
