UWC Presents Unite with Ukraine Initiative at International Healthcare Conference, Discusses Medical Challenges in Times of Wa

June 14-15, 2023, Dr. Olesya Vynnyk, the Ukrainian World Congress’s “Unite with Ukraine” Medical Initiatives Coordinator, had the honor of participating in the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) conference in Pärnu, Estonia.

“It was an inspiring time to learn more about the Estonian healthcare system, digital progress in the field, and current innovations in the healthcare sector.” Said Dr. Vynnyk.

“At the same time, I took advantage of the opportunity to talk about working as a medical professional during a time of war, Russian atrocities, and war crimes perpetrated against the Ukrainian people and to inform the attendees of the work of the Ukrainian World Congress and as part of our Unite with Ukraine initiative in the fields of tactical and civilian medicine.” She continued.

“As a neighboring population to the aggressor state, our Estonian colleagues were especially interested to learn about medical services near the frontlines and how they can prepare their healthcare system for a potential catastrophe of this magnitude. It was nice to see Ukrainian flags all over this small city, indicating Estonia’s political position.”

The UWC is grateful to IHI for inviting Dr. Vynnyk to attend and participate in this important summit. It is vital to understand that influential organizations like IHI support Ukraine and the Ukrainian people with actions rather than words.
