Upon returning from the areas near the frontline in Eastern Ukraine, UWC President Paul Grod, along with Andrew Potichnyj, Director of the UWC's "Unite with Ukraine" initiative, held discussions with Lieutenant General Oleksandr Pavliuk, Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, to address the immediate needs of the Ukrainian military.
The primary focus of the meeting was on ways to effectively support the Ukrainian military in the face of Russia's rapidly growing military-industrial complex, bolstered by weapons from North Korea and Iran.
Lieutenant General Pavliuk expressed his gratitude to the UWC for its consistent support, notably highlighting the recent delivery of 18 long-range attack UAVs to Ukraine’s Armed Forces. In recognition of UWC's contributions, the Commander presented Paul Grod with the honorary “For Assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine” badge.
Paul Grod reaffirmed the global Ukrainian community’s unwavering commitment to supporting Ukraine's defense efforts. Through the "Unite With Ukraine" initiative, which has raised and delivered over $59.5 million in aid from donors across 70+ countries since the onset of the full-scale Russian invasion, the UWC continues to support the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
UWC President praised the exceptional dedication and resilience of Ukraine’s Ground Forces, which form the backbone of Ukraine's military, and presented Lieutenant General Pavliuk with a commemorative UWC award.
Lieutenant General Pavliuk emphasized that Ukraine's path to liberation consists of three critical elements: stringent sanctions against Russia, sustained international support for Ukraine, and consistent military aid. “We need everything, from ammunition to airplanes, because Russia is expanding its military-industrial complex, and we have no choice – we are fighting not just for ourselves, but for the free world,” stressed the Ground Forces Commander.
