Unite With Ukraine extends its deep gratitude to ‘Caisse Populaire Desjardins Ukrainienne de Montreal and the Desjardins Group’ for its generous donation of US$118,000 (CA$150).
Caisse Populaire Desjardins Ukrainienne (CPDU) de Montréal has been serving the Ukrainian Community in Greater Montreal since 1944. As part of the Desjardins network since 1952, the Ukrainian Caisse is highly accessible through a vast network of branches and ATM’s in Quebec, Ontario, New Brunswick, Manitoba and Florida.
For 70 years the CPDU has safeguarded Ukrainian culture and traditions in Canada, broadening recognition of the Ukrainian diaspora and enabling its clients and members to prosper for the greater good of all Ukrainian institutions.
“We are very grateful to Caisse Populaire and Desjardins Group for this generous donation to Unite With Ukraine,” said Paul Grod, UWC President. “Caisse Populaire Ukrainienne and the Desjardins Group continue to be dedicated and committed supporters of the Ukrainian people, and their right to defend themselves, their homes, their liberty, as well as Ukraine’s existence as a democratic and modern civilized nation,” he continued.
So far, the Unite With Ukraine has raised over US $22 million to supply Ukrainians with non-lethal equipment as they continue to defend their homeland against the Russian invasion.
