As Russia’s senseless war continues, global solidarity for Ukraine continues to mount.
The #UniteWithUkraine campaign by the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) has seen a significant increase in contributions from donors, supporters and our allies. They are coming forward in incredible numbers to help relief efforts in any way they can.
This is the second round of contributions from Help Us Help, who in April this year, partnered with #UniteWithUkraine to send a shipment of 4,250 combat application tourniquets, 475 NATO-standard IFAKs and 50 medic trauma packs to Przemysl, Poland, some 15 kilometres from the border with Ukraine near Lviv. The items were then delivered to Defenders of Ukraine that were deployed to the frontlines of the war, including to trained combat paramedics.
#UniteWithUkraine has been actively fundraising to send lifesaving non-lethal tactical equipment to Ukraine’s territorial defenders.
Just last week, a UWC delegation, including President Paul Grod, was at Davos, Switzerland to raise awareness for the initiative.
In his message to the wider global community, President Paul Grod highlighted that of the 200,000 defenders on the frontlines, only 10% of them are adequately equipped. All it takes is $2,000 USD to adequately equip one defender with protective gear that can keep him or her alive during their mission.
